What changed about access

This article lists what changed about plant access in 2026. For the concepts, see How access works on myPower24.

Access: each access is one row on the Access tab of the plant, with the date it started.
Holder: the row is in your name, or in the name of an organisation you belong to.
Organisation row: organisation admins get its level. Other members get Viewer, unless an admin gives them more.
Missing plants: see Why you can or cannot see a plant, then tell the person who manages the plant to give you access.
Access for a business: see What organisations are for.

Old name: Owner.
New name: Full control.
Permissions: unchanged: view and configure the plant, and add or remove people.
Owner: from 2026, this name is only for the registered owner of the plant. It shows as a gold badge next to the name, and on the ownership line at the top of the Access tab. See Who a plant belongs to.

A plant can have Full control rows and no registered owner. Access on that plant operates correctly.

A qualification is a device permission that SolarMD gives to a person for all plants.

Qualification: works only where you have Editor, Installer or Full control on the plant.
Viewer: device settings are read-only. The device page shows View-only on this site.
Contact on the banner: the banner names the organisation admin who can give you more, or tells you to speak to the person who manages access to the plant.
Full control: does not include device qualifications.
Technician profile on the plant: gives device settings for that device type, whatever your access level.

A legacy logger share is access from the share system that came before access rows. The source line of the row shows Legacy logger share.

Before September 2026: a share let its holder change settings. This was also true on a Viewer row.
Viewer rows with a share: these became Editor, or Full control if the person was the only one on the plant.
Editor: can view and configure the plant, but cannot change who has access. You cannot select it when you add a person.
Viewer: view-only from September 2026. This is also true after an approved access request.
If you set the person to Viewer, or remove the person: the system deletes the share.
