Why you can or cannot see a plant

Scope

What to examine when a plant is not in your list, or when an unknown plant is in it. It also gives information about access that does not start or stop. For the concepts, see How access works on myPower24.

Plant List Sources

A row in your name: the plant shows in My plants.
An organisation row: the plant shows in the section with the name of the organisation, if the organisation is active.
A SolarMD staff fleet role: staff can open plants that are not in their list.

Location

Plant list: All plants in the sidebar, with pinned plants above it.
Access rows: the Access tab in Plant settings.

Permissions

Full control: sees the People list on the Access tab
Organisation admin: sees the Org grants tab

Missing Plant

Reload the page.
Open All plants and examine each section.
Tell a person with Full control to find your row, or your organisation row, on the Access tab.
Open Organisations and make sure that the status of your organisation is Active.
Tell an organisation admin to find the plant on the Org grants tab.
If you have two or more accounts, examine the plant list of each account.

If you have only one plant, or none, the sidebar does not show the All plants list.

Unexpected Plant

In My plants: someone added a row in your name.
In an organisation section: your organisation has access to the plant, so all members see it.

Access After Removal

The person has access through a second row, usually an organisation row.

On the Access tab, click each row that gives the person access.
In the detail pane, click Remove.
Click Yes.

To remove one person, remove the person from the organisation. Do not remove the organisation row. If you remove the organisation row, no member has access to the plant.

Troubleshooting

The person cannot see a plant that you gave: tell the person to reload the page. If two or more accounts use the same address, make sure that you added the correct account.
You cannot see the People list: you do not have Full control on this plant.
A name is not in the People list: the person usually gets access as a member of an organisation in the list.
An organisation member has only Viewer: only organisation admins get the level of the organisation row. Other members get Viewer. See What your organisation can give its team.

Tips and Gotchas

If a plant is no longer in your list, the system keeps all data of the plant. Only your access changed.
