What organisations are for

What an organisation is

Your business, as a thing myPower24 can grant access to. Not a group of users and not a group of plants: the business itself. A plant is granted to the organisation once, and the people in it reach that plant because they work there.

Organisations are created by SolarMD. If your company needs one, contact support. Once it exists you run membership yourself.

What it solves

A new site is granted once, and the whole team sees it. A new hire's plant list is filled by joining. A leaver is one removal.

What membership gives you

Viewer on every plant the organisation has access to: dashboards, live data, history, notifications. It does not let you change anything, even where the organisation holds a stronger level. Anything more is handed to you individually by an admin: see What your organisation can give its team.

Organisation admins

An admin holds everything the organisation holds, at full strength, and alone can hand access to other members. They also manage membership, invitations and which plants the organisation keeps. There can be several.

Making somebody an organisation admin is the strongest thing you can do inside a company. Keep the number small.

Limits

An organisation reaches only the plants granted to it, never gives a member more than it holds, and never carries SolarMD-level authority. SolarMD can deactivate one: its plants disappear from members' lists until it is switched back on, though membership is kept.
