How plant control works
Definition
Plant Control is a LoggerV function that controls the power flow of a site through rule lists on its connection points.
Plant Control:
- finds the AC loops from the lines on the Diagram
- reads the power at each connection point
- resolves the rule lists of each connection point
- keeps the grid Target Power between Min Limit and Max Limit
- sends power setpoints to the battery inverters and the PV inverters
Example Application
Site: grid connection, PV inverters, no battery. The grid Target Power is 0.
- If the site exports, Plant Control decreases the PV power by the export.
- If the site imports, Plant Control increases the PV power, up to what the PV inverters supply.
Location
- Path: My Devices, then Plant Control System.
- Edit mode: the menu at the top left of the Diagram, then Edit.
Permissions
- See Plant Control: all access levels.
- Change Plant Control:
Editor,InstallerorFull control.
Examine a rule before you save it. Plant Control applies a saved rule to live equipment on the next control cycle, with no confirmation step.
