Notification Settings
Purpose
Notification Settings is the page where you set which notifications you get, for each category and channel. It shows one table at a time: your Account defaults, or the settings for one plant. Your settings change only what you get, not what other people get.

Location
- Page: the menu of your username, then Notification settings.
- One plant: the Notifications tab in Plant settings. It shows only for
Editor,InstallerandFull control.
Page Layout
Settings For
- Scope button: shows Account defaults, or the name of the plant that you edit.
- Scope list: Account defaults first, then plants with their own settings, then the other plants, up to 50 in total.
- Search icon: in the scope list. Type two characters or more to find other plants.
- N with their own settings: the number of plants that have their own settings.
- Use my account settings: on a plant, removes all its own settings.
Ladder Panel
The panel How these settings combine shows the three rungs (layers of settings), weakest first: Organisation default, Account defaults, Plant overrides. The rung that you edit has an outline.
Settings Table
- Columns: Category, Email, In-app bell, Push.
- Cell: shows On or Off, and below it where the value comes from.
- Padlock, always on: an Account / access cell. You cannot set it to Off.
- Padlock, needs In-app bell: Push is off because the In-app bell is off.
- Dash: the category does not use that channel.
Tips
- Put the cursor on a cell to see the full sentence.
- You get no notifications for a plant marked changed, no visibility. If you get access to that plant again, its settings apply again.
