PV MPPT History
What it shows
A history chart for each solar string, plotted per MPPT (the part of the inverter that runs one group of panels). Use it to see how each string performed over a chosen day, and to spot one that is falling behind.
Where to find it
Open Dashboard, click the pencil in the dashboard top bar to enter edit mode, click Add New Widget, search the picker for PV MPPT History, then click Add Widget.
Reading it
Each line is one string. Pick the day with the date picker, then read the lines against each other: a string that sits below the rest may be shaded, dirty or faulty. The magnifier icon in the header turns on zoom and pan.
Below the chart there is one dropdown per inverter serial, listing that inverter's MPPTs with all of them ticked. Untick the ones you do not want so the chart shows only the strings you are comparing. With nothing left ticked the chart reads "No metrics selected or data unavailable".
Settings
Open the tile's settings with the spanner icon.
- Chart Title - name the widget. New tiles start as "MPPT History", and the header shows the title followed by the metric.
- Select Metric - choose one of Power (kW) (the default), Voltage (V) or Current (A).
Tips
To find a weak or shaded string, switch Select Metric to Voltage (V) and compare the strings early in the morning, when small differences show up most clearly.
