Battery Live

What it shows

A live battery tile for the whole battery or for one storage cluster: state of charge, charge or discharge power, energy left, and an estimate of the time remaining.

For a simple power-and-charge readout, use the Battery Power icon instead.

Where to find it

Open Dashboard, click the pencil in the dashboard top bar to enter edit mode, click Add New Widget, search the picker for Battery Live, then click Add Widget.

Reading it

• State of charge - the large percentage, with a bar that fills as the battery charges.
• Power - in kW, switching to MW on very large systems. The status line reads Charging, Discharging or Idle.
• Remaining energy - what is stored, in kWh.
• Time remaining - time to empty while discharging, time to full while charging.
• Trend band - recent power against a zero line, labelled with the highest and lowest points on screen.

A few readings are expected to be blank:

• Volts and Amps appear only for a single cluster. On the battery total the line is left off.
• Time remaining shows -- below about 20 W of activity, and while charging if the battery has no capacity rating.
• A cluster with no battery-management data reads No BMS data.

Settings

Open the spanner icon on the tile:

• Show - pick Battery total or a single cluster.
• Display options - tick Show time remaining, Show power trend and Show status line on or off to make the tile more compact. All three start on.
